Prof Milind Vishwanath Rane
Prof. Milind Rane is a Doctorate from the University of Maryland, he is Institute Chair Professor Mechanical Engineering in HAG Scale at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
He is active in research and promotion of the Energy Conservation, advancement in the field of HVAC&R and developing technology with Alternate Energy Resources.
He has handled over 135 consultancy projects and 21 sponsored projects. Published over 93 papers which have appeared in International and National magazines. He has written 3 books chapters, delivered over 126 lecturers in various forums. Guided over 18 doctoral thesis and over 95 M Tech submissions.
Under his leadership Heat Pump Laboratory at IIT Bombay, has filed for 33 patents out of which 18 are granted, 12 defended awaiting grant and 3 awaiting examination. 3 European patents have also been granted.
He has been instrumental in getting the technology transfer, licensing and commercialization of over 27 products.
He have received prestigious Neena Saxena award for Technology Development and Commercialization, Bry-Air Award for Product Design, Dr. P.K. Patwardhan Technology Development award. Vasvik Technology Development and Eureka Business Plan.
