ASHRAE Presidential Visit in Region-at-Large | Dubai
The ASHRAE Presidential Visit across Region-at-Large continued in Dubai with a series of meaningful engagements focused on leadership, collaboration, sustainability, and the future of the built environment.
The meeting provided a valuable platform to discuss the future of sustainable and healthy buildings, strengthen cooperation between ASHRAE and MOEI, and explore opportunities to support the continued development of building codes, standards, and best practices in the UAE.
The Dubai visit also included an engaging evening hosted by the ASHRAE Falcon Chapter UAE, bringing together chapter leadership and members for an open exchange with the ASHRAE President on sustainability, energy efficiency, chapter impact, and the evolving direction of the built environment.
This important stop reflected the strength of ASHRAE’s regional presence, where global leadership, local expertise, and government collaboration come together to advance a more sustainable, resilient, and healthy built environment.

The ASHRAE Presidential Visit in Region-at-Large began with a successful and engaging visit to the ASHRAE-Jordan Chapter in Amman.
The chapter had the honor of welcoming Mr. William McQuade, 2025–26 ASHRAE President, together with Mr. Bassel Anbari PE, ASHRAE Director and Regional Chair — Region-at-Large, for an open discussion session with ASHRAE members, industry professionals, engineers, academics, students, and volunteers.
The event provided a valuable platform for meaningful dialogue on ASHRAE’s global vision, Indoor Environmental Quality, sustainability, energy efficiency, and the future of the built environment. It also highlighted the important role of chapters in strengthening professional engagement, advancing technical knowledge, and supporting ASHRAE’s mission across diverse communities.
This visit marks an important beginning to the President’s journey across Region-at-Large, celebrating chapter leadership, volunteer commitment, and the shared responsibility of shaping a more sustainable and resilient built environment.

Successfully concluded at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos, the program brought together ASHRAE leaders, industry professionals, students, and key stakeholders for an impactful gathering focused on advancing the future of sustainable HVAC&R in Africa.
